Terms of Use

The rules that govern your use of Radiant Rift.

Last updated: April 2025

1. Agreement to Terms

By launching or playing Radiant Rift ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not play the Game.

These Terms apply to all players regardless of how they access the Game, including via the Discord Activity platform, any future standalone client, or any other access method we may introduce.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to play Radiant Rift, consistent with Discord's minimum age requirement. By playing the Game, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your Account

Your Radiant Rift game account is linked to your Discord account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account. We are not responsible for any loss arising from unauthorised access to your Discord account.

You may only have one game account per Discord user ID. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent penalties, gain unfair advantages, or abuse any system is prohibited and may result in permanent bans of all associated accounts.

4. Acceptable Use

When playing Radiant Rift, you agree not to:

  • Cheat or exploit. Use third-party software, scripts, bots, memory editors, or any other tool to gain an unfair advantage over other players or to manipulate game systems in ways not intended by the game design.
  • Abuse systems. Intentionally exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended interactions to gain rewards, currency, or progression that you would not normally receive. If you discover a bug, please report it.
  • Harass others. Use in-game features including the social system, party tools, and feedback submission to threaten, harass, or harm other players.
  • Inject malicious content. Attempt to submit code, scripts, or executable content through any user input field including feedback forms, player names, or any other text input.
  • Reverse engineer. Decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any part of the Game client or server software.
  • Interfere with service. Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Game's servers or infrastructure.
  • Impersonate. Pretend to be a member of the Radiant Rift development team, a moderator, or another player.

5. In-Game Content and Currency

All in-game items, currency (Gold, Veilcore Fragments, Crucible Seals), progress, and achievements are virtual and have no real-world monetary value. You do not own any in-game items — you are granted a limited, revocable licence to use them within the Game.

We reserve the right to modify, rebalance, or remove any in-game item, currency, or feature at any time. We are not obligated to compensate players for any such changes.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in Radiant Rift — including but not limited to game design, artwork, lore, character names, world names, audio, and software code — is the intellectual property of the Radiant Rift development team. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our explicit written permission.

The Radiant Rift name, logo, and associated branding are proprietary and may not be used to suggest endorsement or affiliation without permission.

7. User-Generated Content

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or other content through the Game (including the in-game feedback tool), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, adapt, and act upon that content for the purpose of improving the Game. You confirm that any submitted content does not infringe third-party rights.

We will never execute, evaluate, or run any user-submitted text as code. Feedback is stored as plain text and reviewed by humans only.

8. Enforcement and Bans

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. Common grounds for enforcement include cheating, exploitation, harassment, and system abuse.

We are not obligated to provide a reason for enforcement action, though we may do so at our discretion. Appeals may be submitted to support@radiant-rift.com.

9. Availability and Changes

We do not guarantee that Radiant Rift will be available at all times. The Game may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Game at any time. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version to this page. Your continued use of the Game after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Radiant Rift is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Radiant Rift development team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Game. Our total liability to you for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the past 12 months (if any).

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
